Gotabaya to speak at SLASSCOM event on infrastructure development

SLASSCOM has organised a forum on March 20 with Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Secretary - Ministry of Defence and Urban Development who will discuss the “Future Outlook for Urban Infrastructure Development in Sri Lanka”.

The session is at the Kings Court at Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel.

The organisers posted a profile of the speaker which said Mr. Rajapaksa, who assumed duties as the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence in November 2005, is a career soldier, who served his country with distinction for 20 years.

“During his military career, Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa was awarded the President's Commendation letter by former President J R Jayewardene and decorated with the Rana Wickrama Padakkama and the Rana Sura Padakkama medals for valour in combat by former Presidents R Premadasa and D B Wijetunga,” SLASSCOM said.
