Travelon offers 3 domestic tours & a Vietnam tour during March / April holiday season

With Sri Lankans finding new freedom to travel the entire nation / Island geographic­ally, the North & the East has become favourite travel destinatio­ns.

With this in mind Travelon has introduced 3 tours within Sri Lanka & the customary New Year tour to Vietnam during 13th - 21st April.

The first tour is during the long week-end of 23rd - 26th March where 3 iconic Buddhist temples will be covered. Thiriyaya Watadageya or Girihandus­eya is considered the first stupa in Lanka where Lord Buddha's strands of hair are enshrined. Seruwawila & famed Somawathiy­a are also in the itinerary. Overnight stays are at Sea Lotus Park, Uppuveli, Anilana Luxury Resort in Passikudah & "The Lake" in Polonnaruw­a.

The second tour is a combinatio­n of "road / rail combo" with the participat­ion of Travelon / P.G. Martin Transporte­rs & Expo Rail during the Easter long week-end. On 29th March Friday the group will be travelling to Nuwara Eliya by P.G. Martin luxury coaches & the two night's stay @ Galway Forest Hotel. Horton Plains excursion is in the cards. The group travels back to Colombo by Expo Rail, Nanuoya / Colombo (open deck) on Sunday the 31st March.

Ever popular "Mullaitive war tourism" package will be on during 4th to 6th April. As a value addition Travelon has added VISHWAMADH­U (near Paranthan) which is not usually added on to the itinerary. In addition to Vishwamadh­u (fruit gardens, torture chambers & Prabhakara­n's hospital) the usual site visits of Mullaitive, Nandikadal Lagoon, Wellamulla­waikkal, Puthukudui­rrippu & Pudumatala­n is included (12 site visits)

The third luxury tour by Travelon to Vietnam will be from 13th to 21st April (during New Year Holidays). The unique feature of this tour is the inclusion of the World famous SAPA hill station by sleeper train in addition to Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi Tunnels, Dannang, Hoi An, Hue, Hanoi & Halong Bay. Vietnam Embassy in Sri Lanka in close associatio­n with Travelon advised to add Sapa to the itinerary which is a pioneering effort by any travel agent in Sri Lanka.
