Mcdonald's Celebrates National Breakfast Day

On 18th March 2013, McDonald's celebrated National Breakfast Day. McDonald's Sri Lanka joined in on the world's biggest free breakfast giveaway by handing out free Egg burgers to customers.

Each of the six McDonald's outlets at Kollupitiya, Race Course, Rajagiriya, Nugegoda, Kotahena and Welisara_ served up 1000 free burgers. Despite the giveaway being scheduled to take place between 6 am and 10 am, crowds had already started gathering by 5.45 am and all of the six locations had finished their 1000 burgers within the hour.

McDonald's Sri Lanka celebrated National Breakfast Day in an effort to jumpstart their customers' mornings by providing them with a delicious, nutritious and filling breakfast. "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Sadly, so many of us are in a rush in the morning. We want to show our busy consumers in a truly tangible way that McDonald's Breakfast is an affordable & tasty way to energetically start their mornings," said Udesh Wijesuriya, Director of McDonald's, Sri Lanka.
