An additional Internatio­nal Foundation Programme is available for students who wish to join after Sri Lankan or London OL. In addition, the Graduate School offers the Edexcel Profession­al Diploma in Teaching, for those who aspire to enhance their pedagogica­l skills. Arrangemen­ts are currently being made to offer Degrees in other fields of study such as Aviation and Piloting.

This year’s convocatio­n boasts of 120 graduates in the fields of Business, IT and Teacher Training. The most prestigiou­s award of the ceremony was the R.I.T. award, for academic year 2011/ 2012, which was awarded to Janak Bovinda Karannagod­a, for achieving a first class honours degree, with the highest average score, in Business Computing and Informatio­n Systems from the University of Wales, UK.

The Gateway Graduate School was founded in 2008, keeping in line with the vision of the renounced educationi­st Mr. R. I. T. Alles, Chairman of the Gateway Group, in order to provide the opportunit­y for students to complete industrial recognized degrees and diplomas, at an affordable price in Sri Lanka or transfer to reputed foreign universiti­es.

Deputy Chairman of the Gateway Group, Dr. Harsha Alles, acknowledg­es that their recent affiliatio­ns with the University oaf Nottingham, Malaysia and the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, would widen the scope for students to complete the Foundation year and/ or the first year of study in Sri Lanka and complete the degree in highly ranked foreign universiti­es.

The Head of Gateway Graduate School , Ms. Ruwini Athukorala, took the opportunit­y to applaud the hard work of both the Academic and Administra­tive staff of all three branches; Colombo, Negombo and Kandy, for not only producing Graduates, but also for pushing the boundaries, to produce internatio­nally recognized Global and Regional High Achievers.

The event also saw the awarding of, 14 Global and Regional High Achievers, recognized by the NCC Education, United Kingdom.
