Jessie Jay shaves head for charity

Pop star Jessie J stayed true to her word when she had her head shaved on March 15 live on TV during the Red Nose Day telethon. In the process she raised around £ 510,000. Overall, the Red Nose Day telethon collected £ 75 million for the Comic Relief Charity. Among other personalit­ies from the music scene who participat­ed were Nicole Scherzinge­r, The Wanted, Simon Cowell and One Direction who performed their recent No: 1 song ‘One Way Or Another ( Teenage Kicks)’. J ay Z the music mogul and rap star will be the executive producer to the music on Baz Luhrmann’s movie adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s book

The 34 year old US singer made it against some odds as some radio stations such Radio 1 and Capital FM did not have it on their playlist. But following a good midweek chart prediction they decided the give ‘ Boomerang’ recognitio­n M eanwhile ‘One Day Or Another ( Teenage Kicks)’ did a turnaround on the chart the former No: 1 moved up again from 6 to 2 on the strength of Red Nose Day. Also the electronic garage duo Disclosure saw their single ‘ White Noise’ featuring the vocals of Aluna George return the song to the top 10 as it shifted a notch from 11 to 10. The song earlier peaked at No: 2 in February.
