The Finance Company records highest gain among financial brands in Sri Lanka

The Brand Finance Ratings of 2013 records that The Finance Co. PLC has been ranked amongst the top 50 most valuable brands in Sri Lanka, recording the highest gain among the finance brands in the country. The current ratings follow an in depth research conducted by Brand Finance PLC as compiled in the 5th annual brand valuation edition. The Brands Annual 2013 analysis, published by Media Services Ltd and presented by Brand Finance PLC is a comprehens­ive detailing of Sri Lanka's leading brands. The brand rating criteria is dependent on brand consumer perception, brand presence in relation to its competitor­s, strategic leadership, sustainabl­e corporate communicat­ions, return on investment, product growth and market share.

The firm which marks its 73rd year of business has been able to record a doubling of its brand value to an astounding Rs. 984 Million within a space of just 1 year. The strategic directives that have guided the company have been instrument­al in recording the biggest gain of 9 places when compared to any other non bank finance company featured in the ranking report. The actual strength of its brand perception is aptly evidenced by a monumental inflow of fixed deposits in excess of Rs. 1 Bn in the month of April 2013. These positive developmen­ts in such a short time stand as testaments to the effectiven­ess of the strategies executed, contributi­ng to the firm making giant strides to thrive in the current tight liquidity market.
