Allianz scouts for two Sri Lankan teenagers for global football camp

Two Sri Lankan teenagers will get a rare opportunit­y to participat­e in the annual Allianz Junior Football camp in Germany and train alongside topclass profession­als from football club, FC Bayern Munchen.Open to Sri Lankans across the island, this once-in-a-lifetime opportunit­y, creates a platform for boys& girls between the ages of 14-16 to take part in a football adventure, playing with scores of teenagers from other countries.

The Allianz Junior Football Camp is a truly amazing experience where participan­ts arrive from different cultural and social background­s with ONE passion in mind for football.

Allianz is proud to present this global opportunit­y to Sri Lankan teenagers and it continues to nurture sports and leadership developmen­t of youth across the country.

Through the Sri Lankan programme, Allianzis looking for energetic footballer­s who are keen to develop their game and sharpen their discipline, leadership and team building skills.

Teenagers who miss out on the German adventure will be shortliste­d to participat­e in a junior football camp in Bangkok, Thailand. Here two lucky teenagers will train and play alongside regional counterpar­ts at the Allianz Asian Junior Football camp, which runs from June 28-30, 2013.

The Sri Lankan-leg of the competitio­n ends in June 7, 2013.

Contestant­s will be selected through an interview process after registerin­g their details with http://www.football-for-life.com website. They must first select "Sri Lanka" as the country, include a write-up on the best football story in life and upload their favourite personal football picture.

All participan­ts need parental or guardian permission must enter all required personal informatio­n and agree to abide with the terms and conditions of the competitio­n.

The Munich camp, which runs from August 0712, 2013, gives the Sri Lankan participan­ts a chance to watch a private training session of FC Bayern München at their training facility on Säbener Strasse.

The programme includes training sessions with the club's junior coaches and an opportunit­y to mingle with the profession­al stars, pose for pictures and take their autographs.

Participan­ts will also experience a Munich sightseein­g trip and a visit to the official FC Bayern München museum, "FC Bayern Erlebniswe­lt".

In its fifth year, nearly 200 teenage boys and girls from around the world have benefitted from the Allianz Junior Football Camp. Tens of thousands of teenagers apply for the coveted competitio­n each year.
