Sony enriches the home entertainment experience with New BRAVIA Models

The latest Wi-Fi enabled full HD BRAVIA™ TVs from Sony lead the next wave of home entertainment technology for home owners and consumers from all walks of life. Announced earlier at CES, the new W Series LED models are now available in Sri Lanka and optimises Sony's proprietary technology to deliver images with vibrant hues and sounds with deeper bass and crystalclear clarity.

TRILUMINOS display, a technology that is unique to Sony, is achieved by integrating QD Vision's Color IQ™ optical component with Sony's unique display technologies to reproduce a higher gamut of colours on screen, making display images appear more life-like and vivid. With it, images on the KDL-W954A and KDLW904A become more appealing, colours appear richer and there is a greater sense of depth. Present in the new W-series models, the enhanced X-Reality PRO™ picture engine delivers unprecedented picture quality by optimizing the image of any input source such as TV broadcasts, DVD playback, internet video's and the like. As such, not only high resolution contents, but even standard resolution contents will look much better using the enhanced XReality PRO engine.

Sound quality is not compromised with Sony's patented Signal-to-Sound Architecture, which employs the latest soundengineering techniques to offer a truly immersive audio experience. The KDL-W954A houses an ultra-slim two-way bass reflex speaker and stand-alone tweeter in an isolated cabinet to minimise acoustic energy being lost or distorted inside the box, while the KDL-W904A uses a discreetly integrated 1.2m speaker duct to evoke unparalleled bass and midrange sounds for a unit of its size, enriching the home entertainment experience. The other three W-series models (KDLW804A, KDL-W704 and KDLW674A) come equipped with a compact bass reflex speaker, delivering satisfyingly rich audio.

Another key feature of this year's offerings includes Sony's innovative One-touch mirroring function. Employing NFC technology, users can wirelessly amplify content, be it videos, images or applications, from their smartphones on to their TV screens with a single tap.

True to its promise of offering users the best home entertainment experience, Sony has also equipped its new BRAVIA™ line-up with numerous added features designed to fit a variety of user needs.
