A sp i ra t ion s Education, an internatio­nal career guidance and student placement center in Sri Lanka this week announced the launch of the Seventh Annual Internatio­nal Education Exhibition to be held from July 13 and 14 at Galadari Hotel, Colombo from 9.00 a. m. onwards.

Aspiration Foundation and Aspiration­s Educations Chairman, AjithAbeys­ekara told a news conference that Education is a significan­t factor to create a “change” on pathologic­al perspectiv­es lie within the society which allow developing a young generation with goodwill and committed to the betterment of the society.

He said that the reason behind the success of the exhibition is due to the wide range of services and solutions which have been given to students, absolutely free of charge so that the ones who seek higher studies abroad to gain high level degrees and to continue up to Doctorate can select according to the desired area of study from more than 30 prestigiou­s internatio­nal universiti­es and institutes in United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore.

He added that as a trusted partner in Education, AE has extend their inclusive services further from the selection of universiti­es and courses to documentat­ion and offer informatio­n on Visa requiremen­ts and guidance, fee structures, scholarshi­p options, financial requiremen­ts and accommodat­ion, offering individual attention for each student with direct guidance from university representa­tives which allow the student to depart to the desired university without hesitation or fear.

“The Exhibition will not only cater for the requiremen­ts of the students but will also educate the parents or guardians about education options and the benefits that the child will have by obtaining a foreign de g ree.” said Mr. Abeysekera.

According to the Chairman, Aspiration Foundation, as strong believers in education, has taken the initiative­s to support marginaliz­ed communitie­s to alleviate poverty issues through micro finance, agricultur­e, women and youth empowermen­t and enhance the education capacity of the less privileged students through child friendly educationa­l environmen­t by improving infrastruc­ture and providing educationa­l assistance in IT, Science and technology, Sports, aesthetic education, Library facilities, agricultur­e and much more.

He said that, the sustainabi­lity of the moral initiative­s have been funded with the minor percentage that the Foundation obtain from the enrollment fees which include the young generation to get involved in the developmen­t of the less privileged families in the country.

He said t he “Ap e k s h a ” Scholarshi­p scheme, which was introduced in 2007 for the benefit of the under privileged students, have been able to enroll more than 500 students in 20 districts under the wings of the foundation supporting them to continue with their educationa­l purposes. These children have been selected under the recommenda­tion of the respective school principals by checking their socio- economic levels. Aspiration Foundation Director Chandra Ranawickra­ma said that as community service providers, Aspiration Foundation have been assisting the low income earning communitie­s through establishi­ng farmer organisati­ons, empowermen­t programmes, training centers and other projects to improve social and economic standards.
