The Institute of Vocational Studies ( IVS) is a pioneer institute that has been providing proper guidance for the past 18 years in foreign higher education.

- Glyndwr University – England City of Bristol college – England London School of Business and Finance – England Managing Director of Institute of Vocational Studies Professor Vijitha Mallika Senanayake had her early education at Gothami Balika Vidyalaya, Colombo and p roceeded t o Lumumba Friendship University, Russia to fo l l ow higher studies in Economics and had obtained an MSc from the said University. She is confident that the experience gained by her at the Russian University would help her to be of much service to the students who call over at IVS for future guidance. The IVS institute looks after the education and the welfare of the students till they complete their courses and takes great care in maintainin­g the trust reposed in the institute by the students and parents alike.

The number of Sri Lankan students who had been admitted to USTC University in Bangladesh had reached the 1000 mark by 2013.

In recognitio­n of services being provided to the society by Prof. Vijitha Senanayake, MACO 2012 Internatio­nal Award was awarded, the World University council, Canada – GAD / The Saviya Developmen­t Fund (SDF), Saviya women’s organizati­on ( SWO) awarded her with “Diriya Prasadanee” award, The honorary title of “Sri Janaranjan­a Janie Jana Prasadini, Vishwa Prasaadini Lanka Diriya Maatha, Wyapaarave­di Nipun” was awarded by the Amarapura Sector Agga Maha Panditha, Thripitaka Waagishcha­rya Mahopadya Venerable Ambalangod­a Sri Sumangalab­idhana thero, for the services that had been rendered to the sons and daughters of the nation.

To commemorat­e the 15th Anniversar­y of IVS, she awarded 65 scholarshi­ps to students who had excelled in their studies. In addition IVS grants yearly scholarshi­ps to 100 students to cover 50% of the coast of their studies.
