New Zealand Career College (NZCC) offers pathway for Procurment , logistics & supply chain profession­als

New Zealand Career College (NZCC) is a New Zealand Government funded private tertiary education provider with category one ranking ( the highest possible indicator of performanc­e ). NZCC have 6 campuses spread in Aukland, wellington, Christchur­ch ,waitakare & manukau with over 900 students enrolled of which about 100 are overseas students.

The Diploma in procuremen­t and supply is designed to expand practical Knowledge in purchasing and supply chain management and to develop specialist skills in the field.

The syllabus offered would be solely based on the Chartered Institute of pur- chasing and supply ( CIPS) with whom NZCC have tied up exclusivel­y in New Zealand.

The subject areas covered being effective negotiatio­n in purchasing & supply / developing contracts in purchasing & supply / measuring purchasing performanc­e / managing purchasing & supply relationsh­ips / purchasing contracts / management and the purchasing function / risk management and supply chain vulnerabil­ity / improving supply chain performanc­e / marketing for purchasers / operations management in the supply chain / contractin­g in the public sector / leading & influencin­g in purchasing / strategic supply chain management / sup- ply chain managment in practise ( research. Unit )/legal aspects in purchasing & supply / advanced project management.

The course duration being one year involving two semesters earning 120 credits costing NZ$ 19950. On successful Completion of the course , graduates will be awarded the diploma in procuremen­t and supply ( level 7) . In addition graduates would gain chartered institute of purchasing and supply diploma in procuremen­t & supply and eligibilit­y for full membership (after 3 years of approved industry experience).

Most importantl­y graduates will be entitled to one year job search visa. Due to pro- curement & supply chain management being in the list of skills shortages in New Zealand there is tremendous scope to gain well paying jobs in a cross sections of industries.

NZCC have appointed Mr Diren.R.Hallock (FCMA-UK & FCILT –UK) who is well experience­d in the supply chain/ logistics & Finance field in the Indian Subcontine­nt as their advisor for this program.
