-

This may even surprise the legendary Usain Bolt himself. The well know bilingual sports journalist and author Sampath Bandara has come up with a Sinhala language journal on the world’s fastest man titled " Mihimatha Bihiwu Wegawathma Minisa -Usain Bolt’ ( Usain Bolt, the fastest man to be born on earth).

This interesting 76- page book covers, in its 16 chapters about the 27- year- old Jamaican living legend Bolt who emerged from humble beginnings.

The book tells the story of Bolt’s boyhood and about his parents who ran a grocery store Trilawny -- a the rural Jamaican town.

Bandara then moves on to talk about Bolt’s emergence as a sprinter on the rugged track at the William Knibb Memorial High School where Pablo McNeil, former Olympic sprinter thought him the fundamentals of sprinting.

Bandara also has authored books such as ‘Arjuna Ranatunga’ ( 1996), ‘ Football – The Most Popular Sport in the Universe’ ( 2006), ‘ The History of Athletics in Sri Lanka’ ( 2008), ‘Murali – The Greatest Among the Great’ ( 2010), ‘ and ‘ The Story of Twenty20 Cricket’ ( 2012).
