Leema Creations secure two more awards
Leema Creations (Pvt) Ltd, the leading interior solution provider in Sri Lanka collected two more awards, a National Merit Award at CNCI Achiever Of the Year in the Medium Category and a National Merit Award at Best Web 2013 competition in the Best Consumer & E-Commerce Website Category. Mr. Channa Wijesekara, Managing Director of Leema Creations accepted the honour at the CNCI Ceremony while Mr. Shamika Wijesekara received the Best Web 2013.
Leema Creations was recognized by CNCI Awards due to providing custom levels of service and a breadth of products to personalize the design experience for our clients. Based in Colombo with the manufacturing plant in Dompe, Leema executes projects from concept to completion and all areas in between. The award winning, newly redesigned Web site of Leema Creations created with a view to extend the reach of all the it's interior creations by serving a broader audience of commercial and domestic prospective clients. The new Web site features expanded content and streaming media including images of recently completed commercial projects in a permanent collection. The redesign incorporates bold colors and graphics and completely new navigational tools.In addition to the images of various interiors, the new Web site offers many other information related to designs the Company has executed. This year's Best Web competition was contested by nearly 300 popular websites. The judging criteria included the Website Design, its Technical aspects, the Content, Interaction facilities as well as some marks for votes by visitors.
50,000 square foot manufacturing Plant of Leema Creations is located at Dompe is one of the main contributing factors for winning awards. The plant is one of the most advanced in Sri Lanka. A combination of computerized equipment and fine craftsmanship ensures exact execution of the detailed projects. Leema's highly trained and skilled production team work with state-of-the-art equipment and a host of other standard tools.
Mr. Channa Wijesekara is an incorporated civil engineer passed out from University of Moratuwa. He has written two books on 'Basic Wood Technology' in Sinhala and English, published by SMED, the umbrella organization of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Wijesekara became a qualified ' Wood technologist ' after successfully completing a two year full time ' Technical Teachers Certificate in Wood Technology ' in Germany. He also has completed the Diploma in Education Administration from Landau University in Germany. Subsequently, he was trained at Colombo Plan staff College and Dual Tech in Manila, Philipines on ' Industry - Vocational Training Cooperation' and also participated in basic and Moderators programmes in ' Objective Oriented Project Planning in Thailand.
He has worked as a wood working consultant for number of firms and also worked as a curriculum writer for wood related trades for World University Services, Canada, National Institute of Education, NAITA etc. He was a Lecturer at Moratuwa University on Wood Technology for BSc Furniture Design degree and MSc in Forestry programme at the University of Sri Jayawardanapura.
