AOD’s best graduate design talent at REVEAL 2013

-

AOD the International Design Campus that has been responsible for developing the top design talent of Sri Lanka for over a decade, is now showcasing the best design talent for tomorrow at REVEAL 2013.

REVEAL 2013, presented by AOD international design campus in partnership with one of Europe’s top 5 design academia Northumbria University UK, is set to raise the bar for young design. With this year’s REVEAL 2013 as AOD unveils its graduating class of 2012 with Northumbria’s world-class design degrees.

PathumEgodawatta, one of the graphic design graduates that will be featured at REVEAL presents his groundbreaking final project that points towards a pathway towards racial harmony for Sri Lanka, through clever graphic design. “With the 30thAnnivesary of Black July falling this year, I felt the need to design letters that’s could be red by both Sinhalese and Tamils and thereby making them focus on the similarities of the two cultures rather than the differences. I worked on the similarities between the two languages and designed an alphabet that is legible to anyone who can read Sinhala or Tamil,” said Pathum, who then went on to test his work with the public online through the weblink http://la-ulu.com/afewotherkinds/, which proved it to be a success. Pathum’s project awarded first-class by Northumbria University UK will be part of the REVEAL exhibition’s graphic design section that features many talented graphic design graduates like Pathum. In addition to that, REVEAL will also showcase the cutting-edge design work of graduates in fashion and interior design.

REVEAL international design graduate exhibition will commence at Park Street Mews on the 5th of October as a public exhibition allowing the general public and aspiring designers to view the international design work with free entrance until 9th October.

This spectacular show will provide a fantastic opportunity to potential employers, design enthusiasts, young aspiring designers and the general public to view all the best student work, find open doors to young aspirers’ dream design careers where they can find the perfect job to suit their talent and become part of Sri Lanka’s thriving youth design culture with AOD.
