Peoples’ Bank cash bonanza for Sandaru

Sandaru Thathsara who came first islandwide at the Grade 5 scholarship exam, with 198 marks, is from Mahinda College, Galle.

He was felicitated by his alma mater recently, when the Galle, Fort, Peoples Bank awarded him Rs 100, 000.

The cash award was handed over by People’s Bank Southern Province Re gional Manag e r, K.P.S.A.L. Pathirana. Also present at the ceremony were Peoples Bank Assistant Re gional Manager N.B. Ratnasiri, Galle Fort People’s Bank Manager H. Vi d a n a p a t h i r a n a , Mahinda College Principal, Wasantha Siriwardene, Sandaru's class teacher Mrs Demuthu Lakmali De Silva and his parents Harish Kumara Balahewa and Kumudini
