Seoul hosts Asia Pacific Forum on Early Childcare and Education

The Asia Pacific Ministerial Policy Forum (APMPF) was held in Seoul, South Korea, from September 10 to 12, with this year’s theme being, “Are children ready to learn? Are schools ready for children?” with almost 200 high profile representatives from 31 countries in the Asia Pacific region.

Educat i o n M i n i s t e r Bandula Gunewardena who participated at the event, addressed the forum on “Integrating Care and Education”.

The forum bolstered the early childhood development community’s commitment to children, underscoring the importance of an inter-sectoral holistic approach.

At the closing ceremony, the Government of Malaysia announced that it will host the next APMPF on Early Childcare and Education.
