Inauguration Ceremony of 2013/14 NSBM Degree Batches on October 11 at Waters Edge
NSBM, the Nations Premier Degree School will inaugurate the 2013/14 degree batches on 11th of October 2013 in a ceremony to be held atWaters Edge, Battaramulla. This will be a very special occasion to the participants and parents who have registered with NSBM to pursue higher education by attaining a world class degree.
NSBM the degree school of NIBM takes undergraduates in two intakes for a year in March and September. With the current intake, the total number of undergraduates rises to 4000 at its City campus located at 309, High level road, Colombo 5. (Next to Anula Vidayalaya, Nugegoda).
NSBM offers a wide range of degrees approved by the UGC and from the leading universities recognised by theUGC. NSBM is currently affiliated to Plymouth University UK, University College of Dublin Ireland and Limkokwing University Malaysia. The new undergraduates will take up degrees in the fields of, Business Management Marketing Logistic & Operations Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management Finance & Accounting Computer Science Software Engineering Computer Networks Network Security Interior Design Creative Multimedia Web Design & Animation. Starting from the students after O/L’s to commence with a Foundation Programme and for students after A/L’s to commence their Bachelor’s degree.

Global Graduate – NSBM Open day
Providing Sri Lankans the chance to experience the future of technological based higher education of the 21st Century, the “Global Graduate – NSBM Open day” International Higher Education Exhibition was held on September 29th,2013 at NSBM City Campus, Nugegoda, for the second consecutive year. <<Insert pictures 1, 2,3,4,5, here…>>
The exhibition paved way for students after their A/L,s or O/L,s and parents the chance to meet the faculty from world’s top ranked universities to discuss higher education opportunities and student exchange programmes. Potential students also applied for instant study loans from leading banks with flexible loan repayment schemes, which were processed online from the exhibition premises. At “Global Graduate” visitors were able to participate for a demo lecture session in a lecture hall of a university in the 21st Century with features such as e-Teacher, Interactive Whiteboard, Interactive Multimedia Projectors, Automated Attendance and Examination Systems and much more.
Participants also had the chance to witness creative projects of current undergraduates of NSBM in Interior design and Multimedia batches.

Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies (SLASSCOM) organized its SLASSCOMQuizathon 2013 on the 27th of September with the participation of 40 quiz teams from SLASSCOM member companies and non-members. The team named Transcenders from National School of Business Management - NSBM was the Winner from the Education sector and the second place from the same sector was also from the National School of Business Management.
