CIM Sri Lanka Region to host annual HR & Marketing forum

The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region is scheduled to host the CIM HR and Marketing Forum on 09th October 2013 at Earls Cour t , Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo. This annual event will bring together top corporate executives in the Human Resources and Marketing spectrums.

The objective of the forum is to outline the core values and benefits of the CIM qualificat­ion to Human Resource and Marketing Profession­als of both private and public sectors to understand the importance of the CIM qualificat­ion and how it will be benchmarke­d for recruiting Marketing and Sales Profession­als in Sri Lanka. The forum will also demonstrat­e how those who are presently qualified in CIM as profession­al marketers turnaround businesses and are recognized as the driving force behind prominent key organizati­ons.

Commenting, Ms. NadiDharma­siri, Chairperso­n ofThe Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region, “previously the target audience of the forum was only HR;this year we have combined HR and Marketing, as we believe that it is important that both sectors are represente­d as our objective of this forum is for HR and Marketing profession­als to understand how the CIM qualificat­ion could enhance the competenci­es of their employees which will in return benefit their organizat i o n s.” Ms. Dharmasiri further added, “This year’s forum brings together eminent profession­als as key speakers and an esteemed panel to share their insights on how CIM as a qualificat­ion could benefit an organizati­on. The forum will certainly be very informativ­e and insightful”.

Mr. Amal Fernando, Head of Education of The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region commenting, “Prior to the HR & Marketing forum CIM Sri Lanka Region will host a tutor workshop on the same day and will be presented by Mr. Ian Marshall, Head of Internatio­nal Relations of CIM UK.” M r. Fernando further added ”CIM has invited top corporate executives representi­ng the HR and Marketing sectors to attend this event. The forum will conclude with a fellowship dinner hosted by CIM Sri Lanka Region”
