- Chords for a cause

A musical fund raising event in aid of the Sri Lanka Cancer Society –‘ Via Veneto’ has been scheduled for October 12 at the Bishop’s College Auditorium.

A young student of Stafford International school Rakbo Perera has been heading the project with the support of volunteers of the following schools - Stafford International, Gateway College, Lyceum International and St. Joseph’s College. Organisers of the event hope to raise Rs 700,000 for the Sri Lanka Cancer S o c i e t y. The evening is directed by Francis D’ Almeida and will feature performances by Souls Sounds Music Academy, Three tenors, St. Cecilia’s Choir of St Joseph’s College, Naadro, Gateway International School and the Yamaha School of Music.
