One Direction to continue with Simon Cowell till 2015

One Direction has extended their links with Simon Cowell and his Syco record label until the end of 2015. In doing so the pop group which a massive following globally mostly among young females signed a deal with Syco said to be estimated to be in the region £50 million. The group shot to fame after they appeared on the X-Factor in 2010. Cowell has been managing them since.

With a film about the group now being shown in most parts of the globe, the group is now coming to the end of their current Take Me Home tour. In the next phase, the British boyband will release ‘Midnight Memories’ as the third album 25th November.

Meanwhile as tickets for their next tour Where We Are went on sale on 28th September, the websites handling the sales buckled due the huge demand. Fans began to express delight at having obtained tickets whilst other expressed absolute disappoint­ment. One young fan offered her own back garden to 1D to stage a concert in England. LS have announced their final single will be called ‘Billion Lights’. The track will be out on 10th November as it will be the lead release from the group’s farewell album ‘Goodbye: The Greatest Hits’ due out on 18th November. JLS say ‘Billion Lights’ will just like previous releases – up-tempo but with more energy. Their farewell concerts across the UK will run from 1st to 22nd December. essie J has recorded a duet with Robin Thicke called ‘Calling All Hearts’ with DJ Cassidy. A picture of the video set has been released. The song is likely to come out this month. Jessie has revealed plans to rework her current album ‘Alive’ for release in the US next year.

JJDBavid Guetta will release ‘One Voice’ his new single in support of the UN’s humanitari­an campaign The World Needs More. The track features the vocals of Mikky Ekko. The song will be out on 4th November. arbara Bezant and Lyn Phillips were two teenager girls from Essex who posted a taped

message to the Beatles back in 1963 to a London venue where the band was playing. There no reply then. But on the 27th September, the two ladies were brought on The One TV Show, reunited with same tape and indeed a reply from Sir Paul McCartney with an apology, much to their surprise. ason Derulo’s ‘ Talk Dirty’ held on the No:1 position of the UK singles chart for a second consecutiv­e week. The song fought off a challenge from Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’. Two weeks ago ‘Roar’ was ousted by ‘Talk Dirty’ at the No:1 spot.

One Republic’s ‘Counting Stars’ moved up a notch to No: 3 to give the US boy band their third top 10 in the UK. ‘Counting Stars’ originally peaked at No: 2 two weeks ago. The song is taken from One Republic’s album ‘Native’.

In a rather tame week on the top 10, only song to rise and give some colour was ‘What I Might Do’ by Ben Pearce. The song moved from 13 to No: 7. it’s the British DJ and producer’s debut song release and top 10 hit too. The song is classified as a deep house rap track.
