Nations Salary Saver (NSS) account can be opened by any Sri Lankan national over 18 years of age, holding a valid National Identity Card. The applicant must be employed and earn a regular gross salary of LKR 20,000 or above. This account can be opened with an initial minimum deposit of LKR 1,000.00. However, the salary needs to be remitted within 30 days of opening the account. The Account holder could arrange a standing instruction, SLIP transfer through the employer or remit the salary by mean of a cheque.
