The quiz comprised of 240 questions to be answered in 100 minutes - with mainly international focus, relating to six categories- Art & Culture, Civilisation, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Physical World, Sport & Leisure – with 40 questions in each category.

Sri Lanka’s top quizzers took part in this competition which was held at JAIC Hilton Colombo Residencies and it was Lathikka A. Niriella who came first in Sri Lanka followed by Pulasthi Rupasinha, Hasini Minuvanpitiya, Gayani Minuvanpitiya and Sisira Mark Antony who secured the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places.

Hasini Minuvanpitiya thus emerged as the best among the female participants followed by her sister Gayani and Nipunika Wijayaratne. It was an interesting and a challenging experience for the local quizzers as they had to answer more than 2 questions per minute but they seem to have enjoyed every minute of it and IQA Sri Lanka hopes to be a part of this quiz in the years ahead too.
