Prospects Academy launches Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) Programmes in Lanka

Prospects Academy of Training and Developmen­t, a leading provider of consultanc­y and training solutions to the corporate sector in Sri Lanka, in collaborat­ion with The Management Edge, a leading consultanc­y and training organisati­on based in Melbourne, Australia, launched a wide range of Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs at a function held at the Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo, recently.

Prospects Academy, a member of the Prospects Education Group, has been in the forefront in providing consultanc­y and training services for a number of leading companies in Sri Lanka and the Middle East for the past several years, in collaborat­ion with reputed consultanc­y and training organisati­ons from countries such as Australia, Singapore and UK.

The Management Edge, is a highly respected Registered Training Organisati­on (RTO) which has been in existence for over 30 years and has served several leading clients in Australia and overseas. The organisati­on has trained over 60,000 individual­s so far, and has a presence in countries such as Dubai, Malaysia, Bangalades­h, and India. In Sri Lanka, Prospects Academy is the exclusive partner for TME.

Vocational Educationa­l and Training (VET) forms an integral part of the Australian Education system and is designed to deliver workplace specific skills and knowledge based competenci­es. VET is a sophistica­ted system governed by interconne­cted government and independen­t bodies functionin­g within a strict National Skills Framework of qualificat­ions defined by industry Training Packages and explicit quality delivery standards, the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). The Australian national VET system is informed by industry and is client focused to deliver flexible, relevant and responsive education and training.
