A Wild, Red X'mas at Odel

Yuletide cheer always comes early to Odel and 2013 is no exception with Sri Lanka's favourite department store undergoing its magical annual transformation one and a half months ahead of the festivities.

Odel's flagship store has been transformed into a Christmassy wonderland with its exterior bordered in red Christmas trees, the windows flecked with red and white glittering baubles, the halls decked with delightful red bird cages, and the racks and shelves weighed down with the best of fashion. Birds, peacocks, panthers, leopards, tigers and deer are part of this magical experience this year.

An incredible array of clothing, accessories, homeware, gifts and more has been handpicked from around the world especially for those who love chic and elegant styling and quality. Coloured glassware, red jewels at 'Backstage' at unbelievable prices, the latest in ladies and men's clothing are all available.

This seasonal makeover will soon be extended to the other Odel stores around the country, spreading the mood of Christmas to shoppers in many areas, the company said.

Extensive collections of the latest products are already in store for the season. From the glint of sequins to the flash of bright red and the wildest leopard prints, the Ladies department is stocked up with tailored blazers to sheer chiffon blouses, large statement necklaces and beautifully draped, flowing gowns paired with animal printed clutches. Metallic dresses, skirts and even pants, along with a hint of animal prints are also available this season.

The new extended car park at Alexandra Place is now open for the convenience of shoppers. As in previous years, extra parking at Alexandra Place with a free shuttle service from the Town Hall car park and vice versa from 1st of December and a dedicated cab service are some of the other services that will be on offer to make shopping hassle-free. A facility for customers to place their orders early with Odel's ' Delight' department is also available.
