The Debate and Essay Competitio­n ‘Universali­ty of Human Rights’

The British College of Applied Studies, prominentl­y known as “BCAS’ is renowned for its excellence and brilliance in introducin­g and successful­ly conducting several diplomas, graduate and post graduate courses with major successes. The Bachelor of Law programme- LLB (Hons) awarded by the University of Wolverhamp­ton, UK, is remarkably one of them.

The BCAS law school has successful­ly produced the first batch of LLB graduates who are presently sitting their attorney-atlaw examinatio­ns at the law school. It has a team of qualified, experience­d and capable lecturers who have proven their capability and competence not only in producing future lawyers but significan­tly training the law students in programmes and activities which provide the students to bring out their aptitudes, skills and talents.

The BCAS has organized several training programmes and public exercises like debate competitio­ns, essay competitio­ns, speech competitio­ns, and legal quiz and moot practices. On 12th October 2013 it held Debate Competitio­n on human rights and also award giving ceremony for the winners of Essay Competitio­n on the theme of ‘Universali­ty of Human Rights.

The function was graced by the chief guest Mr. Abdul Rahman (the chairman of the BCAS) and by the guest of honour Mr. Pradeep Gamage ( Attorney- at- Law and Human Rights activist) and also by the law students, lecturers and other invitees. It was a successful completion of another drawing event as the performers’ stunned and entertaine­d the crowd with their exceptiona­l, outstandin­g and extraordin­ary performanc­es.
