ICCB: Seasonal goodies from around the globe

-

It's today - the International Christmas Charity Bazaar (ICCB) at the Hilton Residencies from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Organised by a committee of local and expatriate ladies residing in Colombo, the ICCB has been held annually in Colombo since 1982 and is an event much anticipated by Colombo dwellers as a kick-off to the festive season. With 25 countries represented, there's a veritable feast of goods on offer.

The ICCB is a great place to buy seasonal goodies and food items which are not readily available locally. The fact that there are more items available in the marketplace today, has only made the challenge more exciting for the organisers as they still have items to surprise all shoppers and at attractive prices!

In the true spirit of the season of giving, it is the charities and their communities who benefit most from the success of the bazaar. The ICCB committee will donate the proceeds to Children's Hope, Reach and Lanka Alzheimer's Foundation. In addition, the ICCB supports smaller charities such as the Father Pillai Trust, Convent of Perpetual Help and a poor family with triplets.

Tickets priced at Rs. 600 are available at the door. This ticket provides visitors entry to the grand sale and also a complimentary brochure featuring all supporters of the event and some history and general information about the ICCB.
