Emirates Holidays partners with Aitken Spence Travels

-

Emirates Holidays, the tour-operating arm of Emirates airline, announced the opening of its dedicated offices in Colombo in partnership with Aitken Spence Travels, who were appointed Preferred Agent (PA) for Sri Lanka and the Maldive Islands.

In Colombo to make the announcement, Marc Bennett, Divisional Senior Vice President - Destination & Leisure Management at Emirates said the appointment would enable Emirates Holidays to capitalise on the growing leisure market potential, following the improvement in political and economic conditions in Sri Lanka, already a key destination for inbound travel. The partnership with Aitken Spence and the opening of a dedicated retail outlet, is the first in a long-term expansion strategy for Emirates Holidays to bring the brand to a wider audience in key markets.

"This is an important development not only for Emirates Holidays and Aitken Spence Travels, but for discerning Sri Lankan travellers who desire quality holiday experiences around the world, and for travel agents seeking to sell Emirates Holidays packages," Mr Bennett said. "The opening of a dedicated office simplifies the selling and buying process and significantly improves the level of engagement with customers."

The dedicated Emirates Holidays retail office operated by Aitken Spence Travels was formally opened recently at 315 Vauxhall Street in Colombo. The office provides expert advice on Emirates Holidays products and services to the trade, as well as consumers directly. Aitken Spence Travels has also set up a Call Centre with staff trained to handle calls from consumers and the travel trade through an exclusive telephone number 0112 499588. The call centre facility will enhance and simplify the booking experience for both trade and consumers. The retail office is open Monday to Friday from 8:15am to 5:00pm, and on Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
