Kelani Cables PLC introduces a brand new CFL bulb

Kelani Cables PLC has added muscle to its product range by introducin­g CFL (Compact flouresnce­nt Lamp) and GLS (General Lighting System) bulbs to the local market. These newest products of the company were launched recently at the hotel Taj Samudra in Colombo. Being the Sri Lanka's number one brand in manufactur­ing electrical and communicat­ion cables, Kelani Cables PLC has introduced this CFL product range under the theme of "Towards the light with secure means".

The significan­ce of the Kelani CFL bulb range is that they are assured of cost-effective usage, equipped with accessorie­s to provide enhanced lifetime and comes with a warranty period of one and a half years.

This new CFL bulb has been manufactur­ed to be on par with global standards. Thus the product has received the star certificat­e of the Sri Lanka Sustainabl­e Energy Authority, the Sri Lanka Standard Institutio­n and also the inter- national quality standard certificat­e of ISO 9000:14000 specified for environmen­tal preservati­on.

The Kelani CFL bulb range is produced to bear up the fluctuatio­ns in electricit­y supply, which is a common occurrence in Sri Lanka. Further it has been produced with the latest secure mechanism in the world to produce CFL bulbs, which is 'Amalgam technology.'

Thus this product safeguards the user's body from any illeffect that could happen due to Mercury. The 'Tryphosper' coat in its surface prevents the UV rays that usually emit from CFL bulbs which could harm human body. It also prevents decrease in brightness of the bulb which happens due to usage.

CEO of the Kelani Cables PLC Mr. Mahinda Saranapala states at the launching ceremony of this new CFL bulbs range said, the company has carried out research for over five years to introduce this newest CFL bulb, tailor-made for the Sri Lankan context.
