Students who have received their Advanced Level results and passed can directly enter the three year complete Degree programme of London Met and study for a BSc Honours Degree in Computing or a BA Honours Degree in Business Administra­tion. The parents will have the peace of mind that their child has entered into university for the full three year period without having to think about bridging courses, higher diplomas, top- up degrees, etc and also rest assured that the total investment is many times less than what would have to be paid by an internatio­nal student in the UK.

The student would be registered as a student of London Met and student ID cards will be issued as well. Delivery of the programme will be in- country, and guest lectures will be done by visiting academics from London Met. The graduation ceremony will be held in Sri Lanka with the participat­ion of delegates and representa­tives of London Met, and if a student wishes, they can attend the graduation ceremony in the UK. Students who register for the three year degree also have the option of transfer ring to London Met UK to complete their degree there, provided that parallel cohorts are available in the UK, and the relevant internatio­nal fees would have to be paid once the applicatio­n is approved.

Students who have already completed their Edexcel HND, NCC IAD, BCS Diploma, or other equivalent qualificat­ion can directly enter the third year ( top- up year) of the programme and achieve the BSc Honours Degree in Computing, the BEng Honours Degree in Software Engineerin­g, or the BA Hons Degree in Business Administra­tion.

ESOFT Metro Campus is offering a Merit Based Scholarshi­p with a total value of Rs. 15 Million for those that have performed well at their A/ L exams and wish to register for the three year Degrees at ESOFT. For each ‘A’ Pass they receive 100,000 and for each ‘B’ pass they receive 50,000. Students would therefore be eligible to receive up to Rs. 300,000 off and enrol for the programme at approx Rs. 600,000 for all three years.

The London Met programmes are initially available at ESOFT Metro Campuses in Colombo and Kandy and students are encouraged to register their scholarshi­p applicatio­ns via www. esoft. lk/ ukdegrees as the scholarshi­p is limited to the first 50 students that commit.

The London Met partnershi­p will also see the introducti­on of an Executive MBA programme in September ( subject to final approval) which would be a unique qualificat­ion in Sri Lanka as it is geared towards local profession­als and entreprene­urs with an internatio­nal flavor as well. Limited enrollment­s will be taken in order to guarantee the exclusive status of the qualificat­ion achieved.
