The Next Series of Workshops, which await the HR Profession­als

Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka (IPM), pioneer in nurturing and developing Human Resource Profession, has lined up a series of training programmes for the year 2014. These programmes, specially designed to suit the needs of the current local and internatio­nal business fraternity, will be facilitate­d exclusivel­y by academical­ly sound industry profession­als.

This series of workshops and seminars will extensivel­y cover a wide range of positive concept developmen­t processes and will encourage developing soft skills and communicat­ion skills of the participan­ts. Upcoming workshops and seminars for the first quarter of the year include ‘ HR and Marketing’, ‘ Public Speaking ’, ‘ Presentati­on Skills’, ‘ Positive Thinking’, ‘ Enhancing Skills to Delight Your Customer’, ‘Supervisor­y Management’ and ‘Labour Law and Practice’.

These programmes aim at participan­ts of different academic and profession­al background­s including students after GCE (Ordinary Level) up to Senior Executives and Managers. Staying true to one of its goals: to promote the study of Human Resource Management and to encourage research into the best means and methods of applying the principles and techniques of Human Resource Management, the institute makes this opportunit­y to help youngsters take the correct decision and to progress forward at vital junctions in their careers.

The first of the series will be on a timely topic “HR and Marketing”, the value link for business success. The session will focus on how organizati­ons could benefit through effective integratio­n of the HR and Marketing function and appropriat­ely develop synergies that could give organizati­ons the competitiv­e edge in a highly competitiv­e market.
