JCI Sri Lanka NP elect for 2014 felicitates JCI World President elect JC Shine Bhaskaran
The JCI ( Junior Chamber International) Sri Lanka National President Elect for 2014 JCI Sen. Khalil Ur Rahman and JCI Sri Lanka NP’ 2009 JCI Sen. Bimal Liyanage felicitated JCI World President Elect for 2014 JC Shine Bhaskaran, at Madurei- India at 58thJCI I n d i a N at i o n a l Convention( NATCON). JC Shine Bhaskaran was elected as the JCI World President Elect for 2014. The JCI World Presidents theme for 2014 is “UNITE TO IMPACT”. South Asia has produced a World President for JCI after 35 years.
TheJunior Chamber International Sri Lanka (JCISL), established in 1954, is a non- governmental organization affiliated to t he Junior Chamber International. Junior Chamber has often been referred as “an organization of opportunities,” possibly because the opportunities available within the organization are so numerous it would take a lifetime to experience them all. The present Sri Lanka National President Elect, 2014 is JCI Sen. Khalil Ur Rahmanand the 2014 National President’s theme is “ONE TEAM,ONE DREAM”. This year the JCISL commemorates its 60th Anniversary.
The JCI Sri Lanka is a very active and influential movement among South Asian countries. They were the pioneersin extending and establishing the JCI Bangladesh and JCI Pakistan, under the leadership of late JCI Sen. KingslyT. Wickramarathne. The JCI Maldives extension was also initiated by JCI Sri Lanka.
JCI Sri Lanka - Gampaha and JCI Sri Lanka - Colombo have been having a Twining Agreements with JCI India Madurei. JCI Sri Lanka has a long lasting relationship with JCI India for youth development activities as well.
Sri Lanka National President Elect for 2014 JCI Sen. Khalil Ur Rahman and JCI Sri Lanka NP’2009 JCI Sen. BimalLiyanage felicitated JCI World President Elect for 2014 JC Shine Bhaskaran by awarding a memento, at the Inaugural Ceremony held at Gandhi Museum on 27th December 2013. COC Chairman JCI Sen Raja Govindasamy (Past National President), JCI India NP’2013 JCI Sen.N.Ramakrishna, JCI India Foundation Chairman JCI Sen. KVa l l abdas ( Past National President) andJCI India International Icon JCI Sen Ravi Shankar Sathyamoorthi ( PNP& Past JCI Treasurer) were also awarded mementoson behalf of JCI Sri Lanka.
The First Compulsory General Assembly of JCI Sri Lanka where the annual plan, plan of action,Budget and Installation of Board of Directors & Committees will be taken placewill be held on 18th January 2014.
JCISL is and will continue to be a leading force, having a major impact on young people’s lives, and shaping the country to a better place to live in peace and harmony.
