SLF extends its Training to International Institutions
Sri Lanka Foundation (SLF) as the national centre for Leadership, Education and Training is proud to announce that it has extended its training to offshore institutions. Apart from other partnerships and student exchange programmes, a special training programme has been offered to officers of Bhutan National Legal Institute under the theme of Good Governance. This programme included visits to some institutions to consolidate the theory-practice application. This training programme will open new avenues for the two institutions together to explore strategic partnership to study relevant subjects in depth and inter alia.
The SLF is known to be the foremost and pioneering Adult Education Centre in Sri Lanka which was incorporated by Act of Parliament, the SLF Law No.31 of 1973 which has now consolidated its position as the national centre forLeadership, Education and Training functions autonomously under the purview of the Presidential secretariatand is managed by a Board.
SLF offers a wide range of dynamic academic programs through its units namely, Social and Institutional Development Unit, Psychology and Counselling Unit, Business and Enterprise Development Unit, Language and ICT Unit, Digital Film Academy, Tourism & Hospitality Management Unit, and Centre for Wellbeing. The SLF truly symbolises diverse learning experiences with public and private sector partnerships ensuring programmes of high quality where all programmesare registered under the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission of Sri Lanka. Academic operations are monitored and evaluated by a Board of study and a Board of Examiners backed by a comprehensive academic registrar unit.
