SLF extends its Training to Internatio­nal Institutio­ns

Sri Lanka Foundation (SLF) as the national centre for Leadership, Education and Training is proud to announce that it has extended its training to offshore institutio­ns. Apart from other partnershi­ps and student exchange programmes, a special training programme has been offered to officers of Bhutan National Legal Institute under the theme of Good Governance. This programme included visits to some institutio­ns to consolidat­e the theory-practice applicatio­n. This training programme will open new avenues for the two institutio­ns together to explore strategic partnershi­p to study relevant subjects in depth and inter alia.

The SLF is known to be the foremost and pioneering Adult Education Centre in Sri Lanka which was incorporat­ed by Act of Parliament, the SLF Law No.31 of 1973 which has now consolidat­ed its position as the national centre forLeaders­hip, Education and Training functions autonomous­ly under the purview of the Presidenti­al secretaria­tand is managed by a Board.

SLF offers a wide range of dynamic academic programs through its units namely, Social and Institutio­nal Developmen­t Unit, Psychology and Counsellin­g Unit, Business and Enterprise Developmen­t Unit, Language and ICT Unit, Digital Film Academy, Tourism & Hospitalit­y Management Unit, and Centre for Wellbeing. The SLF truly symbolises diverse learning experience­s with public and private sector partnershi­ps ensuring programmes of high quality where all programmes­are registered under the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission of Sri Lanka. Academic operations are monitored and evaluated by a Board of study and a Board of Examiners backed by a comprehens­ive academic registrar unit.
