Nelum Senadira to head Gateway Graduate School

Having served the Fulbright Commission as the Student Adviser for EducationU­SA for twelve years, NelumSenad­ira has taken up duties as the Head of Gateway Graduate School from the beginning of this year. Mrs. Senadira, who has guided and counseled thousands of students on their future careers and academic paths has helped them to select universiti­es that were the best matches for them. She has seen to many Sri Lankan students enter prestigiou­s Ivy league Universiti­es such as Harvard, Yale, MIT, Stanford etc..

With Mrs. Senadira’s arrival, Gateway Graduate School expects to set up its own service in Career Guidance and University Applicatio­ns. Having regularly attended many training sessions organized by the U. S. State Department in the field of leadership and advising and engaged in US and campus visits to update knowledge and experience, Mrs. Senadira is well equipped to set up this service not only for US admissions but for other countries too.

Having started her career as a Teacher, Mrs. Senadira was the Vice Principal of Museus Collegepri­or to joining the Fulbright Commission of Sri Lanka. Equipped with a Master of Education ( M. Ed.) and a Post Graduate Diploma In Education (PGDE) she is also expected to make a substantia­l contributi­on to the well establishe­d teacher qualificat­ions programs of Gateway.
