IT Degree for post A/L students

The ESOFT Institute of Higher Education has made arrangements to facilitate students who have completed their G. C. E. ( Advanced Level) Examination to obtain an Information Technology ( IT) Degree from well- recognized local and overseas higher educational institutions. Accordingly, by connecting with the ESOFT Institution of Higher Education, the BIT External Degree of the University of Colombo and the BCS IT Degree of the British Computer Society could be obtained within a short time of three years and at minimum cost.

Students who have passed three subjects in G. C. E. ( Advanced Level) Examination can directly register for the well- reputed Bachelor of Information Technology ( BIT) Degree of the University of Colombo School of Computing ( UCSC) and students who have obtained lesser results could complete the Foundation of Information Technology ( FIT) Degree and register themselves. ESOFT Institute of Higher Education has been conducting classes for the BIT Degree from the year 2000, the year the University of Colombo launched it. The students who attended lectures for that Degree Programme were successful in achieving the best results in the years 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 from the whole island at the convocations of the University of Colombo.

Students completing the BCS – Higher Education Qualifications of the British Computer Society ( BCS), the Chartered Institute for IT, can obtain a Honours Degree from the United Kingdom. They should complete the Certificate in IT, the Diploma in IT and the Professional Graduate Diploma in IT Higher Education Qualifications of the BCS. ESOFT has been conducting classes for BCS Higher Education Qualifications from the year 2000. BCS has given the ESOFT Institute of Higher Education an Accredited Course Provider Certificate.
