Parenting course at Chitra Lane Children’s Resource Centre

-

The Chitra Lane organisation is an approved charity that was first started in 1968 as a day school for children with special needs. Today, we reach out to over 1500 children and young adults annually from across Sri Lanka, providing much needed services and facilities for early detection and intervention of disabilities. The Chitra Lane Children’s Resource Centre is well known as a centre of excellence for the entire island of Sri Lanka as well as neighbouring countries for training parents and educators with home- based and in-house programs. Our programmes are carried out by a team of professionals including Educational and Medical Specialists, a Psychologist, Speech Therapist, Audiologist, Physiotherapist and several Special Education and Remedial Teachers.

Currently, as part of our public education service, the Centre will be conducting 2 short courses on Parenting Skills commencing on Tuesday, January 28th and Friday, January 31st 2014. This will be a highly interactive programme and will be beneficial to all interested parents ( not just those with special needs children), to enable a more peaceful and rewarding parent- child relationship.
