Horizon Campus to hold Scholarship Exam for prospective degree students: Exam on June 22, 2014

Horizon City Campus will hold its second scholarship examination for this academic year, for students who wish to read for an L. L. B. or Bsc. degree through the University of London International Programmes.Scholarships are to be offered to students on the local tuition fees due to Horizon City Campus. Scholarships will be offered to students who perform well at the exam and have obtained acceptable G. C. E. Advanced Level results. Students who have recently sat the London A/L exams are also welcome to sit the scholarship exam. The offer of scholarships, are also extended to students who wish to join Horizon for the second year of the programme, on the degrees offered by the Campus.

The sole objective of providing scholarships for prospective students stems from the vision of the CEO, Mr. Upul Daranagama’s of making “education an affordable commodity” for our younger generation. It is his belief that Horizon has been successful in this endeavor by providing scholarships worth LKR 25 million, over the past two years, which has pro- vided opportunities of more students to read for the degree they so desire.

This opportunity is open to students from local as well as international schools, professionals and those who had sufficient O/L qualifications and students who wish to continue their studies at Horizon from the second/ third year of the degree. Three full scholarships and a range of partial scholarships off the local tuition payable to Horizon Campus, have thus far been awarded, and the certificates for the scholarship awardees will be presented at the University of London Internationa l ProgrammesOpen Day, to be held on the 18thof July 2014.

Similarly, Horizon Campus intends to offer a range of scholarships for prospective students who wish to join the first year or the second year of the degree programme in the fields of Law, Economics, Banking & Finance, Economics & Finance, Accounting & F i n a n c e, E c o n o m i c s & Management, Accounting & Law, Politics & International Relations, which would cover a sizable portion of the local tuition fees, through the exam to be held on the 22ndJune 2014. Horizon would also be offering special fee waivers for students who have performed exceptionally well at the local or London A/L examinations, to read for the degree of their choice.
