A US Student Visa Seminarfor the public to be held by ANC Education, in collaboration with the American Center

-

For many students interested in undergraduate studies overseas, acquiring a student visa from the relevant country can be confusing and daunting. Thus, the process involves much advanced planning and consideration in the university application process.

Getting your visa to study in the United States takes time but can be a surprisingly easy procedure, given that the student is directed and assisted accurately. It is well worth the effort.

Hundreds of students accepted by Universities have had their Visas rejected every semester as a result of misguided information and lack of knowledge in the Visa Application Process.

To bridge the gap between perplexities and successfultransfer to the US, ANC Education as the pioneer tertiary education Institute in Sri Lanka, has collaborated with the American Centre- Colombo, to organize an F1- Student Visa Advisory Session on the 27th of June 2014 at 4pm at the American Center. The Guest speaker would be Dr. James Ross, Consular, American Embassy in Sri Lanka.

The F1- Student Visa is the most common type of student visa. If you wish to engage in academic studies in the United States at an approved school, such as an accredited US college or university, you should posses an F-1 visa.

Once you have all the required documentation, you may apply for a visa even if you do not intend to begin your programme of study for several months. It is best to apply early for the visa to ensure that there is sufficient time for visa processing. As part of the visa application process, you will need to make an appointment for your visa inter- view with the US Embassy in your country. Most of the procedures and requirements for applying for a student visa are standardized but some procedures vary by condition.

Attendees can learn more about their options and about their status as international students, through a brief presentation that will be followed by a question and answer session. Learn all about the transparency in the US student visa application process, core requirements, finance planning and discuss many other special circumstances with a Consular Officer, nominated by the US Embassy.

These sessions are information sessions which constitute an integral part of services provided to offer information, advice, guidance, etc. for genuine students, and are coordinated by the American Center Colombo.

US Student Visa Seminar (F1),Friday, 27th of June 2014, at 4pm at the American Center Auditorium, # 44, Galle Road, Colombo 03.
