Singer Sri Lanka Toastmasters Club excel

Singer Sri Lanka Toastmasters Club was recently awarded the President's Distinguished Toastmasters club status by Toastmasters International USA for the year 2013/2014. The Club was able to achieve all ten Distinguished Club points to obtain this award. They were also the recipients of the medley Award, Talkup Toastmasters Award and finally the Prestigious Golden Gavel……

Since the inauguration of the club in October 2011,it has functioned well with Charter President TM Neminda Karunaratne followed by TM Saman Thilakasiri, and gathering momentum thereon.

The Club has immensely contributed towards self development in the areas of speaking, communication, presentation and leadership skills to all its members. Further the club has been instrumental in organizing Speech Contests for company employees in a bid towards enhancing communication skills.

The membership with the able support and guidance of its dynamic committee led by President TM Keerthi Wijekulasuriya ACB, CL who was able to motivate its members to successfully complete their allocated speech assignments based on Projects and Leadership programmes on time.

All other criteria and requirements were met by the club in order to obtain theserenowned accolades. It could be said that the enthusiasm and commitment displayed by its vigorous committee members could be attributed to this success.

The Club was ably mentored by Kingsley Nagarajah DTM a member of HNB Toastmasters Club.

The club has great expectations this year as well with the appointment of its new president TM Omega Senanayake CC, CL for 2014/ 2015 and its enthusiastic committee.
