EdHat International Higher National Diploma in Law now at Aquinas

Rev. Dr. Dharshana Jayamanne is pleased to announce that Aquinas University College Professional Studies Faculty has accredited EdHat International to provide a programme of studies leading to the EdHat International Higher National Diploma in Law at Level 5. This Higher National Diploma will open doors for students to join directly to the final year of the LLB offered by Buckinghamshire New University (UK).

Students completing A/Levels and having passed the O/L examination may now register for the Diploma in Law at Aquinas University College and obtain the EdHat Diploma by enhancing this qualification with a top-up programme to qualify for the EdHat International Higher National Diploma which will gain them 100 credits to enter the final year of the LLB offered by Buckinghamshire New University (UK).

Students who have proof of prior learning in Law may follow an accelerated learning programme for the EdHat Diploma.

A practical approach is adopted based on case studies and the ability to relate to reallife issues and aspects of law encountered at work. Students are encouraged to adopt an investigative approach, understanding the issues that require the rule of law and developing an ability to seek solutions to the problems in a legal and social context, while understanding that fairness, flexibility and alternative remedies exist. Students are given the chance to develop their ability to express themselves in writing, by preparing articles for publication, reports and compiling material for projects.
