France - Sri Lanka partnership in fashion education LIFT and Mod’Art will give opportunities to Bringing the finest education in fashion young people and future professionals
It is a pleasure for me to celebrate the new established partnership between MOD’ART, a renowned French and international Institute in the field of fashion, and The Lanka Institute of Fashion Technology, a leader of its kind in Sri Lanka. Fashion, while being in both countries a pleasant and attractive part of our culture, is also a full economic sector which provides new routes in creating jobs. This partnership between LIFT and Mod’Art will give opportunities to young people and future professionals to interact and communicate between Colombo and Paris. Students and teachers of the two Institutes will contribute to enhance the bilateral relations between our two countries in a field where talents and creativity have no limits. It’s my pleasure to form this partnership between MOD’ART and LIFT. bringing the finest education in fashion from it’s capital is a great achievement for LIFT and the future generations who are focusing on becoming professionals in the field of fashion and related industries. It is indeed a milestone in our commitment to fashion education over the past 14 years in Sri Lanka.
MOD’ART international – Paris is now operating it’s branch in Colombo, enrolling students for two main subjects- the undergraduate course of Bachelor { Hons} Fashion and the post graduate course, The MBA in “luxury goods and fashion industries”. This partnership will open avenues for students to experience the importance of France/ Paris for it’s well known industry “FASHION”. Our partnership for French language studies are with AlianceFrancaise de kotte to conduct the necessary DELF exams within the various programmes we offer.
I believe that this venture will make avenues for students to learn from the legends of the fashion capitol Paris and also exchange the creative, technical & managerial skills between Sri Lanka & France.
