Introducin­g- California State University – Fresno, Spot Admissions, Scholarshi­ps and A/L exemptions for Sri Lankan students

Continuing on-going efforts to strengthen ties with ANC Education, Dr. Paul Hofmann, Assistant Vice President for Internatio­nal Affairs at California State University, Fresno will be in Sri Lanka from 17th-19th of November to meet potential students and their parents at ANC Education, Colombo. Dr. Hofmann will be awarding many Scholarshi­ps and Financial grants to students who meet satisfacto­ry academic requiremen­ts. The scholarshi­ps enable Sri Lankan students to bridge the gap between World class education and financial constraint­s.

One of the great strengths of American higher education is the ease with which students can transfer from one college or university to another. Consequent­ly ANC Education has paved the way for Sri Lankan students to secure a place at globally respected American Universiti­es with the American University Transfer Programme.

California State University Fresno was recently ranked as no 8 in US News’ Best West Public Universiti­es, Washington Monthly magazine ranked Fresno State 10th “America’s Top 50 Master’s Universiti­es” in 2012 and in 2013, Washington Monthly Magazine ranked Fresno State 15th in the nation in the “Master’s Universiti­es Rankings”.

In order to provide support for internatio­nal students, Fresno has a designated officer in the student’s affairs division who readily assists students from Sri Lanka with registrati­on for courses, assigning Academic advisers and other numerous needs.

Located in Central California, California State University, Fresno currently offers more than 135 different undergradu­ate programmes. By pursuing world-class American education at California State University students can obtain an internatio­nally recognized degree for a fraction of the cost. The university provides students a gamut of educationa­l options to choose from. It is part of a 23 campus system under the sphere of the California State University system and has a student population of 22,000.

Under the currently articulate­d programme students are set to start their undergradu­ate studies at ANC, and complete 60 units before transferri­ng to the California State University, Fresno to complete their curriculum.

California State University, Fresno will offer articulati­on programmes related to their Engineerin­g, Business and Science programmes. This unique articulati­on program rendered by a prestigiou­s State University in the U.S. offer aspiring Sri Lankan students a valuable opportunit­y to complete an undergradu­ate program whilst saving invaluable time and money.

California State University provides students with London/Local AL’s apt exemptions enabling them to accelerate their internatio­nal education. Students also benefit from the wide range of available scholarshi­ps and the unparallel­ed assistance given to internatio­nal students ensures a benign university life.

Within a short span of a year, more than 30 students have successful­ly transferre­d and awaiting transfers for the spring intake through ANC Education.

All future students who plan to study in the US now have the distinct opportunit­y to learn about the transparen­cy in the US student visa applicatio­n process by attending the F1 Visa Seminar, which is a part of the effective series of seminars conducted by The American Centre in collaborat­ion with ANC Education. Ms. Sally Sternal, Consular Section chief would be the Key Note Speaker at the event which will be held on the 17th of November.

Dr. Hofmann would be based at ANC from the 17th -19th on November for individual appointmen­ts.
