Sri Lanka Foundation signs MoU with Owinka Lake Resort as Partnershi­p Hotel

Sri Lanka Foundation ( SLF), Sri Lanka’s National Centre for Leadership, Education and Training coming under the purview of the Presidenti­al Secretaria­t has signed an MOU with the Owinka Lake Resort as partner hotel to conduct collaborat­ive training programmes under the Tourism and Hospitalit­y Management Unit (THMU) of SLF.

The Tourism and Hospitalit­y Management Unit of SLF presently conducts a number of programmes to add value to the country’s developmen­t and has fallen in line with national economic developmen­t. Owinka Lake Resort is an eco-resort that overlooks the southern part of the Bolgoda Lake, the largest natural lake in Sri Lanka. Owinka is eco- friendly and offers its guests a calm and peaceful environmen­t suitable for rest and recreation. The nature lover can experience a rich ecosystem that features diverse species of birds, flora and fauna.

The purpose of this Industrial partnershi­p Collaborat­ion is to enhance the business of both parties by introducin­g new out- ward bound programmes, circuit training programmes and psychologi­cal & counsellin­g programmes. Owinka Lake Resort with its natural sublime beauty, the sound of birds from the plentiful mangroves merging with the supreme panorama of the mighty Bolgoda is an ideal environmen­t for those leading a hectic life..
