Belarus is situated in the centre of Europe, bordering Latvia, Lithuania and Poland on the west and Russia and Ukraine on other sides. It is an independent, sovereign state and a peaceful and calm country maintaining cordial relations with all other neighboring countries having no hostilities with any one.

Belarus is the ‘Door to western Europe’ (at BREST) or in other words a starting point of the International Highway&Railway (URAIL) to London, passing through Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, etc. with one day travel time to Germany and 2 days to London by train.

Travel to European countries during vacations for sight seeing or part-time work or for permanent work after obtaining the MD degree, preparing for the PLAB (UK) and USMLE (USA) licencing exams in VSMU itself and sitting the exams in nearby Poland.

Though course fees and living expenses are high in Europeit is comparatively low and affordable in VSMU,with only Rs. 4 million needed to complete thefull course of 6 years.

VSMU is perhaps the only place in Europe where a concentration of a large group of 250 Sri Lankan students domiciled and studying at the moment. Thus it has become the most popular and familiar destination of Sri Lankan students in recent times.

A unique factor in accom- plishing admission to VSMU is its simple entry process, assuring 100% visa guarantee with no visa interviews, no showing of Bank statements, no full or part-payment of course fees upfront and above all the incomparable services of PATHE Study Medicine staff at the Colombo office and its on-site Sri Lankan staff at VSMU in Belarus.
