Enrolments for the next batch for the English for Business Communicat­ion course will close on the 10th of November, 2014

The course covers fifty (50) hours. Classes are scheduled twice a week (two hours per session) from 6.00 pm- 8.00 pm, on Mondays and Wednesdays. The fee for the entire 50 hours is Rs 30,000/-. The Rainbow institute is headed by Manique Mendis, a leading Communicat­ion specialist, with more than twenty five years of senior management experience in local and internatio­nal organizati­ons. The well known academic, Dr Mahim Mendis, a British Chevening Scholar with postgradua­te research degrees from UK, USA and Singapore is the Chief Educationa­l Adviser.

All instructor­s have post graduate qualificat­ions in English Language Teaching with rich exposure in the internatio­nal arena and experience in corporate training.

Use of Business Communicat­ion tools and language

The Business English Courses are ideal for profession­als, directors, entreprene­urs, managers, executives, members of the armed forces, and students following profession­al courses.

The course helps participan­ts to master the use of business tools such as reports, e mail, faxes, business letters, minutes of meetings etc. Participan­ts also fine tune their knowledge in the English language, with vocabulary, grammar, idioms, and spelling.

They also develop confidence in public speaking and presentati­ons with improved analytical skills.

Interactiv­e and Practical

The methodolog­y adopted at Rainbow, is the participat­ory approach, which inculcates learning through activities. Classes are confined to small groups. All courses are subject to a strict quality control process, adhering to City and Guilds Internatio­nal criteria.

English for Business Communicat­ion training is also offered as special corporate packages for groups of employees in the institute’s premises in Bambalapit­iya. RICE also conducts courses for employees of all levels, in their own organizati­onal premises.
