Yamaha Alfa now available in Sri Lanka
Yamaha Sri Lanka recently introduced the latest addition to their impressive line- up of scooters and motorcycles: The brand new Yamaha Alpha Scooter! The Yamaha Alfa is designed to perform smoothly under varying conditions, and packs many new and exciting features into a small yet nimble chassis. The new Yamaha Alpha has also been designed to delight, with a package of onboard comfort, storage capacity and ease of use with its modern design.
The air- cooled, 4- stroke, 113cc engine that features on the Yamaha Alfa is engineered for reliability and fuel economy, whilst retaining smooth acceleration and pleasing pickup. The BS24 carburettor with Throttle Position Sensor ( TPS) delivers outstanding performance and excellent fuel economy. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) unit for ease of use, meaning that no gear changes are needed! All this is mounted in a body that combines good functionality with a modern design to answer the needs of a scooter used by family members.
One of the highlight's of the Alfa is it's large and accommodating size, with a longer wheelbase aiding practicality. The Yamaha Alfa has also been developed in great detail to answer the needs of the family scooter market. It is a response to the call for a model that is "lighter, more agile and easy to ride with a modern design". As such the new Alfa rides on telescopic suspension to keep the rider and passengers comfortable, whilst the flat and long ( 800mm) seat provides plenty of room for single and tandem riding. Underneath the seat is a waterproof storage area that can hold most full face helmets, and much more thanks to its generous 21 litres of storage, whilst the tail area is designed to hold on-board tools.
