Subjects and Structure of the degree programme
The curriculum of the degree is designed to blend both Management and Communication to address a wide array of topics from both disciplines. The modules are aimed at developing the key transferable skills that can be applied in careers that require extensive writing, managing and planning organizational responsibilities, public speaking, creative expression, use of modern communication technology and liaising with diverse stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. The first year provides a basis for various specialized subjects that are taught later in the degree programme. For instance, introductory modules in Business Management and English Language instill in students the knowledge and practice that prepares them for advanced studies of the specific subjects in later stages. The second year of the degree programme incorporates further study into specialized Communication and Business Management. Students will be exposed to more in-depth aspects of managing a business in both local and global contexts while the modules that focus on Communication address specific communication media and spheres that are functional in a business set up.
The Third or the final year of the programme includes learning at university as well as working in the industry.
