‘Open Mic Night- January’

-

Special Edition of the ‘Open Mic Night’ show will come alive that is yet to come on the 14th of February at Castelo Coffee House, 2A, Mahamaya Mawatha in Kandy.

Castello’s ‘Open Mic Night’ decided to bring about change this time with a class. The ‘On the Lawn’ concept ‘Under the Stars’ was something the organizers; Adrian Selvarajah and Kishin Siva wanted to explore. The event was taken to a whole new level by Adrian and Kishin in making arrangements with professional studio equipment being set-up to perform live recordings with the help of Lael Senanayake and Jonathan George.

The sign-ups for the event were twice as much as the turnout for their very first ‘Open Mic’ held last December.

Many guests and artistes approached the organizers and personally requested them to continue in organizing the event as it opened out great opportunities for those who seek a venue to perform and to have a relaxed evening with their family and friends.

Three hundred odd guests started walking in at varied times to experience the event and have a chilled out vibe with acoustic music and varieties of coffee. Great upcoming artists like Lael Senanayake, Asiri Fernando, Adrian Selvarajah, Kanishka Kavirathne, Angela Munasinghe, Thusitha Neranjan and Performers like Denethi

Pussegoda, Chrishali de Alwis, Niluka de Silva, Bandhuka Premawardhana and many more caught the eye of the audience. The hosts of the event; Kishin Siva and Adrian Selvarajah were amazed to see the exclusive crowd that turned out for the event as it was more than what they expected.

Castello’s Open Mic Night continues to be the most spoken event

in Kandy.
