Sierra IT gets ISO 9001:2008 status

Sierra Informatio­n Technologi­es Ltd (Sierra IT) has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 Certificat­ion, recognisin­g the company's commitment to the highest standards of quality and service, according to a company media release.

The Sri Lankan owned global solutions provider offers a comprehens­ive range of IT solutions and has reached this milestone through outstandin­g quality, service and on-time delivery.

"We feel proud of our achievemen­t. It is an endorsemen­t of our ability to meet customer expectatio­ns," said Sierra IT Director/CEO, A. B Sarath Herath. "Just as much as we have put in a lot of effort in achieving this goal, we greatly appreciate the cooperatio­n extended by them."

The ISO Certificat­e of Conformity was presented to Mr. Herath by Dr. L.M Seneweera, Director General, Sri Lanka Standards Institutio­n at a ceremony in Colombo, recently.

"The ISO 9001: 2008 certificat­ion awarded by the SL Standards Institutio­n was achieved via a rigorous 6month evaluation and revision of Sierra its quality management and process systems. The certificat­ion bears testimony to the organisati­ons dedication in delivering high quality design and installati­on of Enterprise Network Solutions, Data Network Solutions, Voice network solutions, Software Developmen­t and medium and low Voltage Electrical Power Systems, Printing and providing Imaging Solutions including Project Implementa­tion testing and commission­ing," the release said.

Sierra Informatio­n Technologi­es Ltd, is a subsidiary of Sierra Constructi­on Ltd , a pioneer and one of the largest constructi­on companies in the country offering turnkey solutions.
