Sierra IT gets ISO 9001:2008 status

Sierra Information Technologies Ltd (Sierra IT) has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 Certification, recognising the company's commitment to the highest standards of quality and service, according to a company media release.

The Sri Lankan owned global solutions provider offers a comprehensive range of IT solutions and has reached this milestone through outstanding quality, service and on-time delivery.

"We feel proud of our achievement. It is an endorsement of our ability to meet customer expectations," said Sierra IT Director/CEO, A. B Sarath Herath. "Just as much as we have put in a lot of effort in achieving this goal, we greatly appreciate the cooperation extended by them."

The ISO Certificate of Conformity was presented to Mr. Herath by Dr. L.M Seneweera, Director General, Sri Lanka Standards Institution at a ceremony in Colombo, recently.

"The ISO 9001: 2008 certification awarded by the SL Standards Institution was achieved via a rigorous 6month evaluation and revision of Sierra its quality management and process systems. The certification bears testimony to the organisations dedication in delivering high quality design and installation of Enterprise Network Solutions, Data Network Solutions, Voice network solutions, Software Development and medium and low Voltage Electrical Power Systems, Printing and providing Imaging Solutions including Project Implementation testing and commissioning," the release said.
