Rejoicing the Mothers of IIT Campus this Mother’s Day

-

The single greatest gift a mother can offer their children apart from unconditional love is education. From the moment a child enters the world, it is every mother’s dream to provide the best education for their children in order for them to be successful.

The Informat i c s Institute of Technology (IIT Campus) which has been the alma mater for over 3000 graduates is the preferred choice by many mothers who choose to provide a higher education beyond excellence for their children.

Some of the main factors that contribute to mothers choosing IIT Campus for their children’s education are mainly due to it providing not only world renowned British degrees, but also the skill necessary for a student to become an innovator, entrepreneur or a corporate visionary.

Mrs. Shanaz Buultjen’s son Alan is a final year student following the Information Systems with Business Management ( ISBM) degree offered by the University of Westminster at the IIT Campus. For this year’s Mother’s Day, Mrs. Buultjens said that she recommends the IIT Campus to all mothers who are pursuing the best higher education for their children as it primarily focuses both on providing academic guidance as well as soft skills development.

“I have heard so many positive comments made about the IIT Campus, its education and about the quality of students passing out. Also, considering the fact that so many past students have done well for themselves in their careers made us make the decision to enrol our son at IIT. I am aware that not only does the IIT Campus provide education through books, it also produces students who are able to make successful careers for themselves,” she said.

“I have no doubt that the IIT Campus was the correct choice as an educational institute for my son. I am aware that several past students of IIT are holding top positions in the corporate world and the period they spent studying at IIT has been one of the chief contributory factors as the exposure and experience gained is one that allows students to match their skills with the best and hold their own. In that sense, I am confident that my son too would be able to carve out a successful career for himself with his experience at the IIT Campus,” she said.

Alan, who is also a past pupil of S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia said that he is very grateful for his parents sup- porting him during his journey at IIT Campus.

“Thank you mama for helping me choose IIT to further my studies. I am definitely certain that I have had the best educational experience possible and this would certainly help me when I step out into my career,” Alan said.

IIT Campus currently offers internal under- graduate and post- graduate degree programmes in the disciplines of I n f o r mat i o n Communication Technology and Business from the University of Westminster, UK. One of the key incentives of studying at the IIT Campus is its unique 12 month industrial placements provided for students during their third academic year. Many of these students are selected to leading multinational and local blue-chip companies in which they will be further empowered with the training they receive in a real working environment, thus making these students highly employable upon graduation.

With 25 years of experience as being a pioneer in providing renowned British higher education in Business and IT in Sri Lanka, IIT has earned a wide reputation as a solid, professional training campus, catering to the needs of the students and producing quality graduates, to anticipate the professional world by being armed with confidence and knowledge.

IIT is an award winning campus, which has bagged many accolades in local and international competitions such as Microsoft Imagine Cup, National Best Quality Software Awards ( NBQSA), Google Summer of Code, British CouncilHSBC Youth Enterprise Award and e-Swabhimani.

With a dedicated team of lecturers and administrators, IIT remains the number one choice amongst mothers.
