ANC has been offering students the chance to get scholarships for the English language training program that pre pares them for the I n t e r n at i o n a l E n g l i s h Language Testing System (IELTS) - which is the ticket to apply for foreign university degrees as well as to work and to migrate to certain countries in the world.

The IELTS, the world’s most popular English language test is taken by over 2 million people around the world annually due to its recognition and validity around the globe. Especially those non- English nat ive speakers like Sri Lankans, take the IELTS test to acquire a certification to prove their fluency in using the English language, particularly to enter tertiary education overseas, to work abroad and for migration purposes. The IELTS is accepted by organisations worldwide including government, academic and employment institutions as a proof of English language skills and it is a requirement for immigration to many countries including Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Academic IELTS for Students:

IELTS has two versions - the Academic version and the General Training version. The students who wish to go overseas for further studies should follow academic IELTS in order to be accepted by the overseas education institutions. Different universities may have different IELTS score requirements - however, outstanding IELTS scores will give your child the distinct opportunity to enter elite and world’s top class universities.

Academic IELTS is comparat ive ly harder than the General Training version - which is why your child should be well prepared. The IELTS test is designed to assess candidates’ English skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in less than three hours. Prior to the IELTS test, your child should be well trained under good guidance in order to sit for the exam confidently - and ANC is here to ensure that your child gains a good IELTS band score that will take your child on his journey towards success.

ANC IELTS Training Program:

At ANC, we help your child to aim high in taking the IELTS examination as it will provide your child with wide range of opportunities when applying for their preferred undergraduate studies overseas. Excellent IELTS score is a clear sign that your child will do remarkably well in the demanding academic environment and interact with their teachers and fellow students.

ANC has designed a comprehensive English language training program to give students the necessary guidance and training to face the IELTS exam successfully.

Students have a fair opportunity to receive scholarship awards to take the ANC IELTS program free of charge by sitting for our placement test.

The full scholarship will cover the entire coaching fee of the IELTS training program.

ANC being the pioneer of tertiary education in Sri Lanka has been conducting IELTS training program for in-house students for more than 3 years. Over 100 students have received free English language training through our IELTS scholarship program. The average IELTS band score of an ANC student is 6.5 and 99% of our students have met the required IELTS score, which stands as a proof of the success rate of ANC IELTS training program.

We invite students from local and inter national schools to apply for the placement exam through their respective schools. Your child still stands the chance to grab the opportunity to win our scholarship award by sitting for our placement exam on the 16th of this month.

Application Process:

Step 1 Download the IELTS Scholarship Registration form from ANC Facebook ( www. facebook. com/ancedu).

Step 2 - Get the downloaded form filled and signed by an authorized signatory from your school ( i. e. principal, vice principal, sectional head, class teacher).

Step 3 Handover the signed registration form to ANC Education reception.

Step 4 - Sit for the placement exam on 16th May 2015.

Step 5 If you pass the placement exam, you will be entitled for a full scholarship from ANC
